GOODBYE NICK
It is with great sadness that I have to report to you the news that our respected Yorkshire League and Affiliation Secretary Nick Rogers lost his battle with cancer and died just before Christmas. Nick had been fighting the disease for a few years and following treatment had been given the all clear earlier this year. This news has come as a great shock and our hearts go out to Nick’s family at this time. Nick has been part of Yorkshire Badminton for many decades and has been our Yorkshire League and Affiliation Secretary since 1997. He has served the county with distinction and dedication always willing to go the extra mile to make things work. Even during his illness it was business as usual as he made arrangements for match weekends to go ahead and affiliations to be registered. He will be sorely missed by us all. Lucy Kidd, in the meantime, will be the contact for the Yorkshire League and Affiliations and her email is: luc2923@hotmail.com
